How and why you fish-
There are many reasons you can fish- one is for money, fishing can drag in a lot of money. It's not as good as let's say(runecrafting) but it is a bit better than mining.
Another reason you can fish is to relax. Fishing, is not a fast passed skill unlike runecrafting, mining, and fletching.
You could compare it to woodcutting, but the only difference is that trees are most occupied and disappear, where as fishing spots move.
Fishing is one of the most diverse skills in the game, with tons of weird little fish you can catch and where you catch them can be even weirder.
Fisher, also, is one of the fastest skills to level, especially if you do it right.
How to fish
You fish by taking your tool or your bait and tool to a fishing spot. You then click on the spot. Sometimes your type of fishing wont be the first choice as many spots offer 2 or more choices of fishing. If that is so "right click" on the spot and choose the type.
If a spot disappears, you have to look along to the water where you are fishing and choose another one(there can be many to choose from.)
If a spot has 3 or more people at it, it can slow down quite a bit, so it's ok to move or switch worlds.
If your doing it for the money, when you have a full inventory just bank the fish at the closest bank, if your doing it for the level, just rid of them as quick as possible(even if it means dropping them.)
Randoms
There are a lot of fishing randoms you have to look out for, of course, you'll get the regular -evil chicken- or -wise old man- but here are some "just for fishing" ones.
River troll- He hates it when you fish, he can hit very hard so I wouldn't recommend fighting him, especially since all he drops is some cheap fish.
Big fish- He appears in the spot and throws your tool somewhere, it's easy to find, you just have to pay attention.
Wirld pool- It steals your tool and doesn't give it back, it takes a while so pay attention!
Types of fishing
Net - used for catching shrimp and anchovies. The beginners fishing.
Bait - bait needed. Catches a variety of fish, usually low level.
Fly - feathers needed. Fastest way to level. Catches salmon and trout.
Big net - used for catching large fish.
Harpoon - used for catching, tuna, sharks, and swordfish.
Lobster pot - used for catching lobsters.
Vessel fishing - used for catching karabwam.
Trawler mini game - used for catching manta rays and sea turtle.
Where to fish-f2p places.
F2p fishing can be hard. It's one of the hardest skills to bank for, and the spots are pretty much, always overly crowded. But it is possible.....
Beggining-
To start off with, here are some beggining fishing spots where you can fishing shrimps and anchovies.
Red line shows fastest way to bank.
Lumbridge-
Here in lumbridge, you can fly fish and bait fish, you can bank in the lumby bank or sell to general store. You can bait and fly fish.
Barbarian village-
Well, this happens to be the fastest leveling fishing place for f2p- you can bank in edgevile or give it to people needing food. You can bait and fly fish.
Wild-
Hmm, the best place to power fish lobs, but you have to drop them... You can lob pot and harpoon.
Watch out for pker's!
Karamaja-
The most popular f2p fishing place, you can net, lob pot, and bait, and harpoon.
Sell fish to the general store.
P2P-
Camalot-
Good place. Store fish at bank. you can bait and fly fish.
Shilo villadge -
Ha, the best leveling spot in the game. Fly or bait here and bank the fish or sell them to the store to get more feathers.
Fishing guild-
The best place to fish sharks, so, it's the fishing capital of the game. You need level 68, or 65 with a fishing pot or a admiral pie. But it's worth it.

Sharks - 800-1k ea
Lobster - 200-300 ea
monkfish - 300-350 ea
swordfish - 250-350 ea
tuna - 100 ea
Trout - 20-30 ea
Salmon - 25-40 ea
pike - 25-35 ea
Be Aware that raw fish sell more in members worlds and cooked sell for more in non members.

Barb-tail harpoon - same as Harpoon except you can wield it ( 1k - 10k)
