Im really bored... im waiting for my party to get in Ludi pq but there in 1st stage and i recently got scammed [that was one scam i never ever noticed so read the hard to notice scams] so imma do a guide through Scams and how to Avoid them
Major Scams that are old and everyone knows them:
Drop Game - It's really not a scam but usually they hack and steal your items or a person is hiding somewhere... BEWARE
Tab, Tab, Space, Enter - While your in your Trade, you put the items up and they tell you they can duplicate the item by pressing Tab, Tab, Space, Enter. All this does is press accept so the scammer can accept and take your items for nothing.
I'm GM, give me your money or I'll ban you - The scammer pretends that he is a Wizet/Nexon Personell and will ask you for your money/items or you'll get banned. This should nev

oh my god, the gms cencored you pass! see ******* usually for runescape, but I've Seen it happen in maplestory.. don't even think "it's just a password, they cant get in because of the pin." because they can! They likely have the chance to have a pincracker... or that will be stupid to just ask for a pass... and there is such thing as a pincracker because i have one... [Dont report meh pls!

Fake MapleGlobal Website - They give you a website and they tell you to go to it and it gives you free mesos. Don't ever go to these "free" websites because it's just stupid to give out free money unless they're aiming for something: your user/pass/pin. I've seen a website that I've been to just to check it out and it looked just like the nexon page. It tells you to log in but dont ever unless the url is
http://passport.nexon.net/WZ.ASPX?PART=/Login. They might even trick you more by having *****.nexon.net to pretend its just a nexon site [***** could be anything].
Trust Test - Sometimes in a guild, a master or jr. masters may ask you to give him/her an item to give it back later so that the person joining knows that they can be trusted. It is likely to be a scam but it may not... your choice....
Hard Scams to Notice
The friendship Betrayal - Your friends on maple, even in real life, may scam you, you never know. Sharing accounts and other things may lead to a fight, making one person change the pin to a account or not giving an item back. I reccomend you not to share items/accounts]
NX scam - now that there is a gift update, anyone can gift nx items to other people as long they have the tokens. Lately, alot of people started to sell nx. You may buy nx but only when they give the items first. I got scammed 3 out of my 4 purchaces of my money when I payed first. You can, but it's not recommended. You can also get the item and run with it if you want, its scamming, but its fun
Illbi/Steely Scam - Now this one got me, so you should be carefull on this. Prices of Illbis are 12mil and Steelys are 5 mil in my server [khaini]. Some people buy the illbis for 22 mil and steelys for 11 mil. NEVER TRADE WITH THEM! When you put up the item for example an Illbi, they put up 22,222,222 mesos and accepts. You about press accept but you've been declined. So you are likely to trade again. This time, the person puts up 2,222,222 mesos and accepts. WHEN YOU PRESS THAT TRADE BUTTON, THERE GOES 10 MIL....
To counter this Illbi/Steely scam.. like i did a couple times to people who did it just to get payback:
Put up the illbi/steely. Get press trade and click ok but do not let go, hold it. When they put that 22,222,222 up, press accept ASAP before they cancel. Its so funny when you rub it in their face and they say that u scammed but you didn't because they said 22 mil themselves and stuffs so yeah...
